Presentation
Creative Thinking
" Generate and develop concepts that provide an original, appropriate and effective solution to the furniture requirements of a creative brief.
" Develop own thinking through liaison with David Collins.
" Win the confidence of the client and internal team by creating a clearly defined direction to pursue.
Creative Conceptualisation
" Explore the possibilities of furniture design from an individual and/or a team perspective
" Articulate an idea to both an internal and external audience
" Present and sell concepts and design solutions to client
Detail Design/Planning and scoping
" Detail, design, prepare and present all furniture requirements on all projects as required
" Develop designs for bespoke furniture items
" Communicate with key team members at each stage of the project
" Produce presentation sketches and models from concept outcomes
" Produce detailed technical drawings of bespoke items from presentation outcomes
" Schedule and communicate all costs and specifications internally and externally
Implementation
" Co-ordinate and liaise with manufacturers and suppliers
" Attend and chair internal furniture review meetings and manage any issues as they arise
" Contribute to the successful implementation of a project
" Liaise with manufacturers as directed by senior designer
" Monitor progress of design including visiting manufacturers
Handover
" Ensure that final project delivery runs smoothly and that all FF&E and styling requirements are delivered on brief
" Ensure client relationship is maintained and developed
