Senior Traffic Engineer x 2 - Street Managements Traffic and Transportation Division of a busy Local Authority based in the heart of North London requires a Traffic Engineer to work within Traffic and Safety team working within one of the Traffic Management sections:, Highways, Highways Management, Highways Maintenance, Road Safety, Traffic and Safety and Transport Infrastructure Project teams. The role is working alongside Highways Engineers, Traffic Engineers, Highway Improvement Officers, Traffic Engineers and Road Safety Officers within the Traffic and Transportation division. Working on traffic calming schemes, safer routes to school, 20mph zones and road safety measures.

In summary we would like two/three Engineers working at a Senior or Principal level with extensive local authority experience of managing works contracts and programmes to deliver carriageway, footway, traffic management and local safety schemes. It does not necessarily include designs but does include all tasks associated with implementing schemes including budget control and reporting and identify non-compliance contractual issues and dealing with this with the contractors.

The Role

•To work in the traffic engineering team. Candidate should have experience using AutoCAD.
•Candidate should also have previous experience in designing and implementing various traffic schemes such as 20MPH zones, local safety schemes, safer routes to school schemes, traffic calming schemes and cycling schemes.
•Candidate should be able to produce detailed design drawings and have experience in carrying out public consultations.
•Ideally candidate would have previous experience working for a London Borough
