My client is one of the leading groundworks and civil engineering contractors operating throughout the UK on specialist packages ranging from £1.5M-£15M in value.

They are one of the strongest players in the current market and have secured £30M worth of work in the last fortnight.

A new project in newbury is commencing in the next few weeks and they seek an Assistant to Intermediate Qs to work on a £12M groundworks and civil engineering package with some muckshift, working under the Managing QS.

The project my client is working on is on behalf of a well known main contractor and it consists of underground carpark, with commercial and residential units above it.

This is an excellent and definitely a most solid, stable opportunity for someone to progress on a large job of this nature.

The successful candidate will be studying for their degree or ideally have obtained this and will have a civil engineering background. You should have experience of measuring, tracking materials, admin and pricing variations with the assistance of a more senior quantity surveyor.
