The Client

Our client is an up and coming interior fit out contractor based in Surrey. It operates in both the private and public sectors and specialises in high spec, innovative, design and build projects. Their key strength is on their ability to offer a complete one stop shop for the whole of the project from design right through to maintenance and project completion. Their turnover as of last year was just over £40m and they hope to grow this significantly through taking on several new projects and through repeat business from a host of key clients.

The Role

Our client is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor for projects throughout the capital and its surrounding areas. Generally projects will be between £2m-8m although they will sometimes lie outside of this for key client. The Quantity Surveyor will have full financial responsibility for their jobs and must work closely with the project teams to ensure a successful outcome. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for payment of sub contractors, valuations, variations, contractual matters and final accounts. Aside from this the Quantity Surveyor will have a crucial role in dealing with the clients and architects and will be expected to represent the company during meetings.

The Right Individual

For this project the client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor, ideally with experience of similar projects. A relevant recognized qualification in Quantity Surveying would also be an advantage although more important is the demonstrable ability to see projects through to a successful conclusion. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be organized and self- motivated and must have the ability to work to deadlines whilst retaining excellent standards of quality and service.
