Client:

Our client voted as one of the top 5 main contractors in the UK for 2009, has secured a large workload for 2010/11 with an order book in excess of £2billion. Their focus is mainly on civil engineering infrastructure projects including rail, highways and water contracts.

Role:

Due to such a large influx of work set to begin on site over the next 12 months our client is seeking to employ a Senior Planning Engineer to work on the delivery of a large infrastructure project biased towards civil engineering/rail. You will work within the core project team on this project leading the planning function and looking at how each individual package of work can be delivered.

Requirements:

• A good understanding and working knowledge of network rail processes and procedures
• Experience working for a UK civil engineering main contractor within the UK
• Have worked on civil engineering infrastructure projects within a rail environment preferably network rail although LUL experience would be considered
• Look at individual progress reports and programmes and collate information into the overall contract programme
• Client facing role
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to motivate others and drive programme forward
