Design Engineer - Piling

DESIGN ENGINEER - KENT - £35K-£42K + PACKAGE

My client is a medium sized structures and piling contractor with an excellent reputation within the market.

They have remained consistent throughout the recession with their piling division still turning over £6M.

My clients piling division now requires a Design Engineer with ideally experience in sheet piling. Candidates MUST have a civil engineering degree and chartered individuals are also preferred.

My client will consider design engineers from a geotechnical or civil engineering background if they show the right attitude to adapt.

The current design engineer will be retiring in 18 months and hence there is an overlap period to get the new recruit comfortable settled in to the role until they are on their own.

The successful candidate will:

Carrying out the design and detailing role
Ideally have a knowledge of Sheet piling/Geotechnical/Civil Engineering Design (MUST be in a design role currently)
Deal with the schemes for drawings
Submit calculations
Deal with the concepts of design
Interpret the soil techniques
Use CAD
